In order to transact on Cellphone banking you need to first register for the service.
You will be able to log on immediately after registering.
There are 5 ways to set up Cellphone banking:
- Through the newer Cellphone banking
You will need the following information to register for the newer Cellphone banking:
- Your card number
- Your ID number
- Your ATM PIN
Please note: If you already use Internet banking and have a CSP (customer selected pin) you DO NOT have to register. Just dial *120*2345# and accept the terms and conditions.
To register, dial *120*2345# and follow these easy steps:
Step 1 -
Dial *120*2345# from your cellphone
Step 2 -
Dial 1 to continue with registration
Step 3 -
Enter your full Standard Bank card number
Step 4 -
Enter your ATM PIN
Step 5 -
Enter your full ID number
Step 6 -
Accept the terms and conditions
Step 7 -
Create your customer selected PIN
Step 8 -
Enter your customer selected PIN
Step 9 -
The welcome screen appears.
Press 1 to start banking
- WAP option
You will need the following to register for WAP based banking:
- Your card number
- Your account number
- Your ID number
- Your ATM PIN
Follow the following steps to register:
Step 1 -
From your cellphone, using the internet browser on your WAP 2.0-enabled cellphone, go to standardbank.mobi and

Select 'Cellphone banking'
Step 3 -
Select 'Register'

Create a customer-selected PIN (CSP) if you don't have one
- Through internet banking
As an Internet banking user you can use the same customer-selected PIN (CSP) for Cellphone banking. All you have to do is activate Cellphone banking on your profile by:
- Logging on to Internet banking
- Clicking 'Profile'
- Selecting 'Profile details'
- A one-time password will be sent to you via SMS or email
- Enter the one-time password and select 'Continue'
- Scroll down to 'Channels' and select 'Cellphone banking' from the tick box
- Select 'Continue' and then 'Confirm'
Once you're registered for cellphone banking, all you need to do is dial *120*2345# or go to standardbank.mobi from your cellphone browser and start transacting.
- Through the customer call center
When you call us on 0860 238 837, you will have the option to use the automated voice response system or one of our friendly consultants will take you through your registration.
- Register through the automated voice response system
You will need to have the following details in order to complete the registration:
- Account number
- Card number
- ID number
Call 0860 238 837 follow the voice prompts. You will be able to use the service as soon as you have registered by dialing *120*2345# on your cellphone.
